32Red Has The Appeal

An on-going saga between two of the best uk casinos online, has reached it's conclusion following a high-court ruling this week.

Gibraltar based online casino group, 32Red PLC, has been actively taking action against other online casino and gaming groups, who see fit to name their offer with the prefix 32, or suffix Red - one such company being the betting conglomerate, William Hill Online.

In what has been a three year battle, judgement by the British Court of Appeals has confirmed, during an appeal, that William Hill Online was infringing on 32Red copywrite, by naming an online casino 32Vegas.

Damages are still to be awarded to 32Red Casino, but the decision was greeted with delight by 32Reds CEO and founder, Ed Ware...

'We're delighted that the Court of Appeal has categorically dismissed William Hills' appeal. Quite correctly, the Court of Appeal also supported the view that taking advantage of a well known brand such as 32Red is not acceptable.'

It is thought that costs were rewarded to 32Red, in the region of £70,000.
