888 Heading To Harrow

One of the leading online casinos in the UK is under fresh pressure this week, following speculation that an eGaming giant was about to snap them up.

Gibraltar based casino company 888 has been linked with many a take over in recent times, but according to a report in UK newspaper The Telegraph, it is Harrow based Ladbrokes who look likely to succeed in an offer - reportedly around £250m.

888.com, considered to be one of the best uk casinos, has also got Sportingbet waiting in the wings should Ladbrokes fail in their bid to win over the 888 shareholders - which was the case four years ago following a reported bid of arond £450m.

The only sumbling block that could scupper Ladbrokes' plans, is the fact that 888 have yet to make their peace with the US authorities, following post UEIGA actions.
