Antonius Gets Own Back in World Record Hand

Following some nosebleed action at the high stake tables in recent weeks at one of the best uk poker sites, Full Tilt Poker, the world record for the amount won on one hand has been smashed by Patrik Antonius.

Sitting down at the Pot Limit Omaha High tables this week, he came up against the new kid on the block, Isildur1 - and managed to bag a staggering $878,958 in one suped-up hand of poker.

Isildur has been making the headlines recently, including 'Unknown Poker Player Strikes Again' here at Casino Geezer. Having taken Full Tilt's new signing Tom Durrrr Dwan for over $3m, in the last month, this latest high-end action has dented the Scandanavian's ego temporarily.

Antonius is one of many online poker pros to be sponsored by Full Tilt Poker, including Phil Ivey, Gu Hansen, Chris Ferguson and the poker room's founder, Howard Lederer.

Antonius' win eclipses that of Tom Dwan who scooped over $720,000 in one hand back in late 2008.
