ASA Bans William Hilll Email Campaign

The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) have cried foul following the sendng of an email campaign by one of the best uk casinos online, following a string of complaints from disgruntled viewers.

Gibraltar based online casinos company William Hill sent out the email drop offering all of it's new customers a no deposit bonus of £66 - as well as an initial deposit bonus of up to £120. So far so good.

But what the ex-Leeds based company failed to acknowledge specifically was that customers had to make at least 50 separate wagers in the casino, within a maximum of 30 days, totalling at least £1,320 in stakes before they are able to withdraw any winnings they pick up along the way.

An ASA spokesman said of the ruling that...

'...the minimum number of bets, minimum spend and withdrawal limits and requirements were significant conditions likely to influence customers' understanding of the offer and should have been stated prominently in the ad. Because they were not we concluded that the ad was misleading.'

This is the second time a William Hill branded advert has been banned, along with recent efforts from Ladbrokes and InterCasino.
