888 Casino, recently voted the best uk casino for 2009, has this week concluded a deal to buy the uk bingo site, Wink Bingo.

The Gibraltar-based company has shook hands on a for £60 million, as 888 Casino looks to increase market share in the luctrative UK online bingo sector.

Wink Bingo's current owners will get £11m, plus additional sums based on future earnings in the year to March 2011. This will be capped at £59.7 million.

A spokesman for 888 said that the acquisition would enable them to expand its online bingo business within the UK...

Wink Bingo launched in the Spring of 2008 and quickly established itself as a household name, with a variety of both bizarre and remarkable adverts, including the Dancing Dog ad. Tieing in sponsoring deals with prime-time TV such as Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Wink Bingo has attracted more than 50,000 players a month since.
