Betfair Racks Up Snooker Deal

The UK's top betting exchange penned a deal with the World Snooker Association, to be the online betting brand associated with their top European tour.

Hammersmith based betting company Betfair will become the main sponsor of the World Snooker European Tour in a year's deal which takes in six events over the next six months.

Betfair, which also has one of the best uk casinos online, earnt he right to call the event the Betfair European Tour, it will be shown live on European TV channels, including Eurosport.

Outspoken Chairman of the World Snooker Association, Barry Hearn, said of the deal...

'We are delighted to bring Betfair as the sponsor of the European Tour (as) like us they are targetting emerging markets in many areas of Europe and this tour will provide tremendous exposure.'

Betfair sponsor a raft of UK sporting events, including the recent World Matchplay Darts championships.
