A lucky customer from Scotland was celebrating being a betting app user in a million this week, thanks to a promotion by the UK biggest online bookmaker and the leading daily UK racing publication.

Leeds based online bookie William Hill has got together with racing bible The Racing Post to offer one lucky customer a £1,000 free bet if he or she was the millionth user of Racing Post's betting app for iPhone.

Step forward Derek Aitken, who after downloading the iPhone betting app from the iTunes store, continued to use the app for Royal Ascot week and was delighted that he was the chosen one for the free grand...

'Normally I follow a few jockeys and trainers so I'll put the free bet towards that.'

Branded Racing Post, the betting app is plugged into the William Hill back end, allowing customers to easily bet from their iphone as well as getting all the latest information, news, form and going from the Racing Post.
