Betting Apps A Growing Business

Hot on the heels of iphone betting apps from Paddy Power, Ladbrokes and William Hill, a report has been published that suggests that betting apps for iphone will be big business in the near future.

German analytic firm Research 2 Guidance has predicted that the complete iphone betting app business grow to a huge £3bn for the current year, rising to a staggering £10bn in revenues by the year 2013.

According to their report, more than 3.8bn betting apps for the iphone have been downloaded so far in 2010 - and that is compared to 3.1bn for the whole of 2009.

Paddy Power is the latest online bookie to get a betting app approved by iphone, with the Irish giants stating that their app was the most downloaded free app in Ireland within a week of it's launch.
