Cascarino Takes GUKPT Main Event

Littlewoods Poker sponsored ex-footballer, Tony Cascarino, proved his poker prowess last night by winning the GUKPT London main event.

The Republic of Ireland ex-International had the guile, skill and composure to beat a very strong final table, that included the likes of Charalambos Xanthos, Mike Hill, Romano Pizzo and the 32Red sponsored Stu Rutter.

A total of 183 poker players entered the main event at the Grosvenor Victoria in London, which ended with the final heads-up between Cascarino and Antoine Arnault starting late Sunday night. With a few hours of action, it was the 47-year-old ex-professional that walked away with the £168, 800 main prize.

This latest win follows Cascarino's Bolton title he won in 2008, as well as reaching the final table at last year's Grand Final.
