Ex-Pats Warned Off UK Lotto

The UK's lottery provider is bringing in new, clearer terms to their online lotto games, to help spell out their position when it comes to players from abroad.

Camelot have held a long-term but little known rule, that should you purchase any lottery tickets whilst abroad, you stand to win nothing should your numbers come up.

The new rule change, that comes into effect in early December, makes it clear that they must reside in the UK or Isle of Man only - and crucially they had to have actually been in the UK when they purchased the tickets.

A spokesman for Camelot said...

'The general rule is that if any overseas country has its own lottery, playing the UK one will be illegal'.

Lottery jackpots still eclipse those found in the best uk casinos, with this weekend's jackpot won for £13m
