Gamblers Hotline Proving Popular

A hotline that was set up as a whistle-blowing service for dodgy online casinos and betting practices, has been hailed a success by the government organisation that set it up.

The UK Gambling Commission has set up an 'intelligence line' which lets customers, online betting sites and sportsman themselves ring up to let the authorities know of any dodgy bets.

The line was launched in the Spring of this year, with over 120 calls already been logged - all anonymous and confidential.

Such calls are invaluable to the organisation, as it can lead and help with ongoing criminal investigations.
