Glu Mobile Stuck On Skillz

One of the leading lights in the 3D mobile casinos space has delighted investors this week, after announcing a deal with mobile casino platform Skillz.

The move saw instant success, after the companies share price rose more than seven percent on the news.

The Skillz gaming network will allow the freemium mobile casinos software company to introduce cash games to their mix for anyone playing mobile casino games on an Android smartphone.

The first game to get the Skillz treatment will be Derr Hunter Reloaded - allow cash tournaments for any of Glu Mobile 40 million customers.

A spokesman for the company was not available for a quote at the time of going to press, but in a preprepared statement he confirmed that there are plans to launch other Android titles throughout the rest of 2013 and 2014.

We also added that future revenues would not only come from the new cash tournaments, but also through extended advertising, virtual goods and in-game power-ups.

Glu was in the news recently following a deal that they penned with video gaming company Activision Blizzard, allowing Glu Mobile access to the hugely successful Call Of Duty franchises - one of the biggest selling video games for PS3 and XBox.
