Landmark Online Poker Hand Tally Eclipsed

One of the leading uk online poker rooms has announced that they have dealt what can only be described as a landmark amount of poker hands to their millions of poker players.

Isle of Man's poker prince's PokerStars has revealed that it has deal 85 billion poker hands - or 85,000,000,000 if you want to see it written out in long hand!

As is the want for such a figure, the guys at PokerStars are celebrating big style with a raft of prizes, which is reported to have nearly topped the 100K mark.

It is thought that over 250,000 poker players were sat at the virtual poker players at the time of being struck. The lucky table happened to be a six seater No Limit Hold 'Em named Josephine' - with the lucky online poker players sat there scooping more than $90,000 in the process, with $26K of it going to the hand winner.

A spokesman for Pokerstars was not available for comment at the time but it is thought that whilst this is a record figure, there are big plans already afoot for when PokerStars get to the magic 100bn hand.
