A unique deal has been struck between one of the leading online casinos suppliers and one of the best uk casinos online - to create a brand new poker network for the soon to be open French market.

Isle of Man based Microgaming has joined up with Gibraltar-licensed 888 Casino, to create a new online poker network with the liquidity to challenge the big boys in a market that has been the buzz of the egaming world.

A spokesman for 888 commented on the deal...

'It marks a turning point in the industry, with big networks collaborating in newly regulated markets to create a shared pool of liquidity.'

Microgaming were equally as bullish about the new deal, as their CEO Roger Ratgever confirmed...

'We are delighted to be working with 888 to deliver a poker solution to the French market. We look forward to combining our wealth of experience and knowledge to bring the highest global standards to the local market'.

The French market is due to open at the beginning of June, in time for many online sportsbook to take bets on the forthcoming World Cup. As well as fixed betting, the new law will see companies allowed to apply for online horseracing licenses, as well as online poker.

Online casinos are not permitted at this time but it is thought that pressure from some of the best uk casinos will see governing body ARJEL reviwing this decision within the next two years.
