Moon and Cada at the Final Dance

The 2009 World Series of Poker has finally come to a head, as the thousands of players are now down to just two.

US online poker pro Joe Cada will sit down on Monday night for a $8.5m first prize against the unknown Darvin Moon - a logger from Maryland.

In a final where weak hands seemed to dominate play, the bookies gave a huge sigh of relief of Full Tilt's Phil Ivey couldn't overcome a short stack, to bow out in seventh place.

Many people's poker player of the planet, Ivey lost a coin flip hand against finalist Cada, only to go all-in against fellow finalist Moon to see his A-K beaten by A-Q and a Q flop.

Moon then did the same to Begleiter, flopping an A for his A-Q against a Q-Q, with Card Player magazine editor Shulman bowing out as well, followed by Buchman and Saout.

The heads-up starts at 10pm Monday night, with online poker pro Cada holding at two and a half times chip lead over rookie Moon.
