Online Casinos Ad a Load of Balls

One of the leading online casinos has had an advert for it's online bingo room banned by the Advertising Standards Agency, after it was found to be all most impossible to actually win it.

Gibraltar based gaming company 888 advertised a massive online jackpot of £5m using it's 888 Ladies brand, which they called the Golden Ticket.

'All' customers had to do win the massive jackpot online, was to match 24 numbers from the first 24 balls called - to win £5,000,000. For every ball after the 24th one, the prize would drop until the 40th drawn - where the prize would then stick at £50,000 until someone won it.

The Advertising Standards Agency got involved after a canny viewer of the ad worked out that the odds of actually winning the Golden Ticket stood at around twenty five quintillion - or 25,000,000,000,000,000,000. It is thought that the feat has never actually been done in the history of the game.

Naturally, despite the drop in prize as the numbers came out, the ASA uphead the complaint saying that the ad was misleading as the prize could never be won.

A spokesman from 888, often regarded as one of the best uk casinos online, was not available for comment.
