Paddy Powers To Profit Peak

The leading online betting site from across the Irish Sea has revealed their figures for 2010 to much applause from the city - following a 55% rise in pre-tax profits.

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power announced revenues of of over €3bn thanks in no small part to a very successful World Cup - making it one of the top five bookies in the UK and Ireland.

The figures were also helped somewhat from their Australian business, SportBet, which weighed in with almost €20m in profit.

A spokesman for the Dublin based company said of the latest results...

'These are record results for Paddy Power, with increased profits for all divisions, which demonstrates the benefit of our ongoing business development initiatives and investment, which positions the groups well in 2011 and beyond.'

Retail brought in 17% of group profits with online (including one of the best uk casinos online) added a massive 75% of all profits. Mobile was also a success story for the company, with revenues trebling througout 2010.
