Playtech Acquires Mobile Betting Leaders

One of the leading online casino providers have made sure that they are at the forefront of the burgening mobile betting market, by acquiring the leading mobile betting solutions company.

Isle of Man based Playtech has done a deal to acquire the leading mobile betting supplier Mobenga, in a deal that will see them develop some of the best betting apps for iphone, android and other leading smartphones.

The deal, which weighs in at a reported £6m, will see the Swedish mobile betting company be fully owned.

A spokesman for Playtech said of the deal...

'Mobile is delivering an increasing share of new customers to sports betting with a number of major operators reporting that more than 30% of their customers are betting via their mobiles.'

A spokesman for Mobenga was equally as excited about the new deal...

'I am very excited by the opportunities this deal brings. It will help take us to the next level and gives us exposre to the widest possible group of potential licensees. We are looking forward to being a part of the Playtech team.'

Mobenga power some of the biggest mobile betting sites, including those for Stan James, Sky Bet and Paddy Power.
