PMU Sponsors National Team Ahead of World Cup

French betting powerhouse Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) has announced a deal that will see them sponsor the Nation's soccer for the next four years.

In an agreement with the Federation Francaise De Football, the Paris based bookie will sponsor the French Men's and Women's national teams, along side the likes of Adidas, GDF Suez and Credit Agricole. The deal will also go down to grass roots football, by supporting amateur football throughout the country.

In a separate deal, the PMU has also agreed to be the main sponsors of the French National Cup, as well as the entire coverage of the 2010 World Cup from South Africa, on the main TV channel in France, TF1 as well as Eurosport.

The latest action from the PMU follows the launch of their betting app, pmumobile.fr as well as the announcement of them signing a five-year deal with one of the best uk bookies, Paddy Power, who will supply odds for the forthcoming online sportsbook.
