Slots.com Belongs To Online Casino

One of the biggest online casinos brands has come forward and admitted that it was they who bought the online slot machine domain name Slots.com for a record price.

Bodog owner Calvin Ayer has revealed that it was he that bought the casino URL for a massive $5.5m, which catapulted it into the top ten most expensive domain names ever.

Ayre is no stranger to buying prime domain names, snapping up the even better named Casino.com less than a year ago from the struggling Mansion brand.

And Ayre was quick to point out that he held all the cards when it came to gaming domain names...

'After Casino.com, we feel that Slots.com is the best gaming domain in the world. Bigger even than Poker.com because there are no strong brands in this space and slots are far more universal than poker, just look at the amount of space a casino devotes to slots over poker, added to which it's simple to spell and easy to remember.'

It is thought that Calvin Ayre will use this domain name in the same way he uses his own Bodog brand - by licensing out the right to use the name to would-be casino and gaming operators.

Ayre also pointed out the he would be using the online casinos game domain to reel in players of the fairer sex...

'Slots.com will work for us on a number of levels, not least, in generating global traffic to our Bodog branded properties but also to form a number of other targeted websites including one that will be created by and for the female gambler.'
