Sportingbet Swimming Against La Manche

One of the best uk casinos and sportsbooks has once again come out and said that they will not be joining the gold rush across La Manche just yet.

London based gaming company Sportingbet has announced that it is not planning to enter the newly formed French market, citing technical issues as the main reason why it will not be applying for a coveted license.

The announcement means that Sportingbet will also not be getting into bed with either Le Monde or L'Express - two French newspapers who were thought to be using Sportingbet to create their own white label online betting sites.

The technical issues all stem from ARJEL, the French gaming authority that has very strict rules on the technical side of the business, as well as the bets taken and the charges due to authorities and the state.

As a result, the move means that Sportingbet have closed down their small French office.
