Tombola In, Boyles Out at Sunderland AFC

One of the best uk casinos and bookmakers is bowing out of a sponsorship deal, after three years at the forefront of the Premier League.

Boylesports have been the short sponsors of Sunderland AFC for the past three seasons, but from the start of the 2010/2011 season they will be replaced one of the best UK bingo sites, Tombola.

The online bingo site, which is actually based in Sunderland itself, has signed a two year deal for a reported £2m deal, which will enable the Tombola brand to be on the home and away shirts, as well as extensive branding at the Stadium of Light, access to the club's database of season ticket holders, as well as player appearances and competitions.

A spokesman for Tombola said the deal will help to build on the player database it already has, as well as increasing the amount of prize money paid out to customers, which already sits at over £3m each week.

A spokesman for Sunderland AFC said of the deal...

'it was very attractive for the club from a commercial perspective'.

This latest deal sees another online gaming company add their moniker to football shirts, including 32Red who have sponsored Premier League club Aston Villa in recent years, as well as Championship side Swansea City.

Others include Victor Chandler (Nottingham Forest), ToteSport (Hull City), Mansion (Spurs), Wigan and Bolton (188Bet), Wolves (Sportingbet) - as well as a dearth of European clubs, including BetClic's recent deal for Juventus and Bwin sponsoring both AC Milan and Real Madrid.

Affiliate marketers have also got in on the act, with FreeBets.co.uk currently sponsoring Coca Cola League Two leaders, Rochdale.
