Two of the Best UK Casinos Set to Merge

Rumours abound this weekend as two of the biggest and best uk casinos are said to be in talks to merge their businesses, to form the biggest eGaming company in the world.

The Gibraltar based PartyGaming, whose brands include the Casino Geezer recommended Party Casino and Party Poker, are currently in talks with the Austrian based sportsbook and casino operator, Bwin.

It is thought that the two companies have been in talks for the past couple of months and such are the rumours amongst execs in the world of online casinos, both companies have been forced to clarify their position, when the world's financial markets reopen this week.

This latest news is yet another shot in the arm for Party Gaming, who have suffered more than most in recent years, following the US decision to ban online gaming, as well as the overall global recession. Since then Party have continued to go from strength to strength, consolidating the market as well as posting positive results for the flagship brands.

Bwin meanwhile have grown by leaps and bounds in recent times, strengthening their sportsbook numbers, as well as dramatically growing their online casino and online poker base.

Experts believe that if the merger was to go through, it would create a eGaming company worth in excess of £3bn.
