UK Online Casino Thinks David Is Worth It

A UK online casino and sportsbook, best known for their controversial PR stunts are at it again, as it emerges an ex-Spurs footballer has put his hat into the ring to be the boss of World Football.

The player in question is David Ginola, who has come out of the shadows of post professional life to declare he has had enough of Sepp Blatter and his cronies - and wants to change the football world for the better.

Reading the small print of this remarkable change of events for Ginola, it seems that he has been backed, to the tune of £250,000, by online casino and sportsbook, Paddy Power.

The Dublin based bookie announced this week that they would be stumping up the cash to help David run for Presidency of FIFA - a position held by Sepp Blatter for more years than many care to remember.

In what is seen as a gaffe ridden organisation, Ginola hopes to rid FIFA of bad publicity, by teaming up with Paddy Power.

A spokesman for the online casino said of the agreement...

'This campaign is all about transparency and we are paying David £250,000 for the campaign and for being here today. It is his full-time job now and, hopefully, will be for the next four months.'

As you would expect, the UK press have gone to town on the news, prompting question after question to try to check out Ginola's knowledge and credentials for taking on the role - much to chargrin of the his team, as he failed to name or answer any key questions about the role, the people he was up against or fellow officials.

It also emerges that Ginola has no backers within FIFA at the moment - he needs five federations or more to back him, for him to stand. He also has no money in the coffers to help him battle Blatter - reports suggest apart from Paddy Power's money, Ginola has £6K to play with - the goal being £2m.

Ginola, who played for Tottenham Hotspurs amongst others, is probably best known since retiring from the game for his deal with a Shampoo company.
