William Hill Delivers Strong Growth

One of the top UK sportsbooks and best uk casinos online has posted it's results for the first quarter of 2010, with aplomb.

The Gibraltar-based UK bookie William Hill have announced net revenue up 1%, mainly in thanks to a huge increase in revenues from it's eGaming department - online betting up an impressive 25% compared to the same peroid last year.

Online sports betting took a massive turn for the better, showing a near 80% increase on sportsbook net revenue, as well as an increased margin of over 8.0%.

Their online casinos activity also weighed in with an 11% increase, with online bingo enjoying more than 50% in growth, however like most online betting companies, it was their poker division that suffered the most, limping in with a 11% net revenue fall.

A spokesman for William Hill said of the results...

'We are satisfied with our performance this early in the year, with an improvement shown in overall retail turnover levels and good growth from William Hill Online in revenues, operating profit and new accounts.'

These latest results are in stark contrast to 2009, in which CEO Ralph Topping described it as a 'hellish year' for the uk bookie.
